Author guidelines
Original research must follow the official JBOS blinded template and include abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments, conflicts of interest, funding, references, tables, and figure legends. Remove all author-identifying information.
Submit a separate title page containing the full title, all authors with affiliations, the corresponding author's contact details, and ORCID iDs. This file is kept apart from the blinded manuscript.
Provide a concise abstract of 150 to 250 words. For research articles, use a structured format: Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Include 3 to 6 keywords.
Download the JBOS Author Publishing Agreement, have all authors sign it, and upload the signed copy with your submission. Submissions cannot proceed without it.
Download the JBOS Conflict of Interest Statement, complete and sign it, and upload the signed copy. Disclose all financial and non-financial relationships relevant to the work.
Studies with human participants must state ethics committee approval and approval number. Case reports and clinical images must include written patient informed consent and remove identifying information.
Submit clear, high-resolution figures with descriptive legends. Tables must be numbered and cited in the text. Images should be clinically appropriate and properly attributed.
Use a consistent biomedical reference style and check every citation for accuracy. Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English, double-spaced, with page and line numbers when possible.
Before submitting, confirm that every required file is included, that the manuscript is fully blinded, and that all authors have given their consent to submit.
